Product Information
The latest product to hit the UK football market is the COVERBOOTS ™ - Developed in Germany by an ex pro footballer, Harry Scheffer. The product is aimed primarily at substitutes and technical staff that are sat on the bench during the colder months. Originally used by Nurnburg, Koln, Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen (Worn at -16C in Ukraine in the Europa League) and now extensively by the Bundesliga, trials at Middlesbrough, Sheffield United, Derby County, AFC Bournemouth, Oxford United, Luton Town and Halifax RUFC as well as used by Poole Town FC.
The COVERBOOTS ™ fit over football boots and keep the feet, ankles, shins and calves of the wearer warm whilst on the bench. They open and close with a Velcro release system easily and quickly when they are ready to come off the bench. In the colder weather less injuries are likely when coming off the bench with warmer feet (not numb) and lower joints, as well as being more comfortable to the player whilst waiting to come on during cold weather. The boots come in 3 sizes: Small (up to size 7), M covering the range from 8-11 and Large for 12+. The boots can ultimately be branded and personalised with club Logos etc.
COVERBOOTS ™ are worn by the sportsman over the top of their boots.
COVERBOOTS ™ are made from windproof and waterproof fabrics. The inner part is lined and abrasion resistant.
COVERBOOTS ™ have slip-resistant soles. With the help of Velcro they are very easy to put on and remove.
